A while back, Anne mentioned her winter beauty pet peeve, so I wanted to share mine: chapped lips. Yes, I really hate a dry pucker, but I love spherical beauty products. Luckily, I found Ballmania Lip Balm ($6 each), which happens to be… a ball!
Available in tons of cute colors and designs, these twist-top balls contain SPF 20 lip balm in a vanilla cream flavor. It’s not as sickly sweet as it sounds; it’s actually subtly delicious, but not in a way that will make you want to lick your lips all day (too much of that is so not attractive).
I’ve been carrying around a purple-polka-dotted version all winter, and it’s really easy to find in the bottom of my bag. Also, it reminds me of the days when I wouldn’t walk a step without one of those grocery store toy machine superballs in my hand. Just don’t try to bounce your lip balm–it doesn’t have the spring action of the good old superball. Rolling, however, works like a charm.
And I appreciate beauty items that double as toys.
